Dragon’s Tail is a filmic piece that critically explores how electromagnetic energy, land use and human health are interlinked through cultural lore tradition and the idea of an alien’s environmental prophesy. The piece is based on an epic folk myth written by Brett, informed by a considerable research project with inputs from paranormal investigators, folklorists, esoteric researchers, scientific scholars, healers, historians, strawers and farmers. The folk myth was performed overnight, outdoors by a large crew of dancers, musicians and circus performers in a field on the West Coast of Ireland, and was directed by Brett, and filmed by Colm Mullen.

Bespoke animal totem attire and processional sculptures were made with craftspeople Juliette Hamilton, Liadain Butler and the Celtic Stickemakers Cork; and the film includes a soundscape produced with musician Siobhán Kavanagh. A series of limited edition intaglio prints accompany the piece.
