2 ROADS is an evocative filmic essay on the stigmatised topic of how contemporary Ireland marks infant mortality through religious paradigm and cultural lore.
A contemporary account as a forcible prose narrative stitches the piece from rural dwelling to industrialised hospital, questioning power relations between individual and institution, while referencing memorial markers, cillíní and an individual’s need to physically mark the ethereality of loss. 2 ROADS is multi-layered and poetic, prompting uneasy questions within mesmerically meditative quality.
